Tradewinds Mechanical provides light commercial services, to include Heating, Cooling & Refrigeration. We install, repair, maintain, replace & retrofit all makes and models along with offering regular maintenance programs. Following are some of the commercial services that we offer:
Roof Top Units
Tradewinds Mechanical can provide service for commercial roof top units up to 20 Tons. This includes inspections, coil cleanings, part replacement, unit replacement and maintenance programs.
Walk-in/Reach-in Coolers & Freezers
Tradewinds Mechanical provides service for all makes and models of walk in coolers/freezers. This includes inspections, coil cleanings, parts replacements, unit replacements and maintenance programs.
Variable Air Volume (VAV) Systems
Variable Air Volume (VAV) is the most used HVAC system in commercial buildings. The Air Handler varies the amount of air flow (CFM) at the overall system level based on the demand required by the zone level VAV boxes, which vary air flow based on their local demand. The VAV box regulates the flow (CFM) to a zone in relationship to the demand of the temperature sensor in the space. Variable air volume is more energy efficient than constant volume flow because of the reduction in fan motor energy due to reducing fan speed (RPM) at partial load. As the cooling or heating demand is reduced because of a mild temperature day, the VAV Air Handler system can reduce the amount of air flow (CFM) by reducing the fan speed.

Chillers
Chillers remove heat from a liquid (typically water) through a refrigeration cycle. This chilled water is then circulated through pipes to cool air or equipment and is eventually returned to the chiller to repeat the process.

Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) Systems
A Variable Refrigerant Flow system uses refrigerant for both air conditioning and heating. A VRF system is a ductless, large-scale HVAC system that performs at a high capacity. VRF allows multiple indoor units to run on the same system. It is considered either a heat pump system or a heat recovery system, which can heat and cool simultaneously. It obtains its high efficiency through the use of inverter compressors which allow the compressor to ramp up or down based on the needs within each space.
